General Cancellation / Refund Policy

All programs and services offered through SPJ Consultants, Inc. adhere to the following cancellation/refund policy unless otherwise noted in the program description:

Client Cancellation

Groups

Clients will be charged a cancellation fee of $15.00 if they are no-shows or cancel with less than 24 hours notice.  There are no cancellation charges for clients participating in the 3-Hour Alcohol and Drug Education Program or the Point System Conference/Driver Improvement Program.

Contract Services

Clients, or agents, will be charged a fee of 25% of anticipated charges if clients are no-shows or fail to use the services offered when offered. Clients that have pre-paid for services will be charged a fee that includes actual expenses plus time (at the rate of $350 per hour).  A minimum charge of 50% will be deducted from any pre-paid funds (credit card sales are charged the entire amount of the authorized charge). 

Full fees are charged for Psychiatric and Psychological appointments as well as sub-contracted services regardless of when they are cancelled.  Every reasonable attempt will be made to schedule other client(s) in the allocated time slot or for the services offerred when possible; however, you are responsible for the full amount if such arrangements cannot be made (you may not substitute someone of your choosing without our approval).

Credit Sales

Any services paid by credit card will be charged 100% of funds initially authorized (a credit in the amount of 50% will be given towards future services and must be used within twelve months of the initial charge).

Program Cancellation

Weather

We make every attempt possible to personally contact you in the event of closures.  However, SPJ Consultants Inc. follows the closure policy of Anne Arundel Community College (AACC).  Please listen to the weather reports and watch your television for notification of school closures.  If AACC is closed, opening late, or closing early due to inclement weather, so are we.  If you are scheduled for a class, program, individual or group session, or any portion of your appointment during the time that AACC is closed, your entire session will be re-scheduled.  If in doubt, please call our 24-hour phone line at 410-693-3402 before making the trip.  SPJ Consultants Inc. will make every attempt to notify you of the policies of our contractors, but are limited to reimbursement of paid funds only.

Illness, Personal Emergency

In the event an instructor, therapist, screener, or other employee/contractor for SPJ Consultants Inc. is unable to attend every reasonable attempt to notify you as soon as we are aware of the situation will be made.  We will re-schedule services that fit YOUR schedule and needs.
